Wicked lightning storm last night

I was about to go to bed last night when I saw the bright flashes of lightning through my window.  I grabbed my camera and rushed outside.I wanted to grab some lightning shots when I realized I did not have my tripod up at school with me.  The storm was just too good to pass up so I improvised.  I grabbed a soda can (thanks Dr. Pepper), smashed it down a little and balanced my camera on the railing and the can.  In case you just gasped for breath, I held onto the camera strap.  I activated the interval timer and watched the storm pass on by.  After about twenty minutes of waiting I reviewed my images and was extremely pleased to see that one shot had lightning in it.  It is by far, my favorite lightning shot I’ve taken.  Although I could do without some of the buildings and wires it still looks pretty cool.
